Buying degree is getting popular especially in this modern generation.

Transactions involving transfer of money from the buyer to the seller for the exchange of educational degree has sparked off a heated debate among the stakeholders. Every camp has several reasons to counteract the reasoning of the other camp. It is noticeable that transactions that involve buying degree have not been accepted fully by the wider society. Many persons who are on the opposing end treat the transaction with a lot of contempt. The case is however different when you consider the point of view of those who are for the transaction. The society has therefore come to rethink their decisions before pointing fingers of blame. If fingers have to be pointed then the direction should be that of the current system of the education in many countries.

What are the Controversies of Buying Degree?

<br /> Buying degree is an issue. Many persons are strongly blaming the system of education that produces so many graduates without the ability to create enough jobs for all of them. Employers have taken to consider persons with many numbers of papers when it comes to awarding promotions as well as when undertaking recruitment for the few positions open in their companies. This being the case, persons with the real knowledge that has accumulated through long working experience are in most cases left out of the picture.

They are forced to early retirement and subsequently, early death for those who cannot handle the rude shock. You may attest that no amount of education can substitute the education that comes with experience. Being left without any other option, such employees submit to the idea of buying degree. The question that arises is that is this ethical. The other controversial issue in buying degree is that that many persons consider education as a commercial venture. Governments have established the fees structure, which students must pay for them to benefit from the services of the teachers and the lecturers.

Managers of these educational institutions will make sure that you do not take the scheduled exams that will lead to graduation after passing these exams. Private institutions get accreditation to confer degrees for those persons who would like in buying degree directly from them and avoid the hassles associated with course work. They argue that if the government charges fees for the students who pass through its system then it point to the fact the government is actually selling the degrees to its learners. The question that many persons are left asking themselves is what is the signal that these institutions are sending to the studying generation of persons?

This issue on buying degree attacks the fundamental reason of establishing educational institution in the first place. It is however important to note that the defending camp has their reasons to do so. Another controversial issue is that education opens the minds of individuals with entrepreneurial mind. Schools produce graduates on varying professions. Among the most productive graduates are the one with entrepreneurial spirit. Economies have continued to grow the upcoming of new business. This has also solved the macroeconomic problem of unemployment. If buying degree is a business opportunity for persons and an employment opportunity for a number of others, then it is self-defeating fir the opposing camp to look at this transaction with a contemptuous eye.

This issue buying degree is controversial in that both sides of the debate stand by their considered reasoning. Both camps have not come any consensus on the issue of accreditation. Buying degree has to be from licensed institutions that ensure that the degrees they sell are reliable and verifiable. They ensure that their degrees are acceptable by the employers and other professional body. That is why they get verifiable accreditation by recognized accrediting agencies. The controversy that arises is that if the institutions are licensed, why then does opposing camp have to treat the transaction with much contempt.

Why has the wider society not fully accepted buying degrees involving other commodities like maize? The camp that is pro the transaction, however are continuing with their stand of selling degrees. Another controversial issue of buying degree is timing. Most of the persons who result to transactions are those whose ages do not allow them to join colleges and universities. These employees have worked for a long time and are heading for retirement. They cannot afford to go back to student life because even if they did, there employable and productive age could have passed long before they graduate. Most educational institution give out honorary degrees to those they want to honor. These are not academic degrees. In many cases, the holders of such degrees are recognized as the rightful owners. The controversy that arises is that why recognize honorary degrees and fail to recognize the one bought from licensed institutions. The issues of timing in buying degree come to play since both camps confer degrees to particular persons of particular ages. The compounding issue that makes the debate more heated is that should the buying degree by young adults who should pass through an educational system, make the transaction unethical? It is however open to more debate.
